Throwing Workshop 

4 day course with Rebecca Phillipson

July 18th, 19th, 26th. August 9th. – 10.00am – 4.00pm with an optional 30 minute lunch break

Cost: £225 ( includes all materials and firing)

Course Outline

For the throwing workshop

Students will only be learning to throw.

Day 1&2: Students will learn the basics of wedging, centring, pulling walls, shaping and refining on the first day of the workshop and then get another day of throwing to consolidate these skills.

Day 3: Students will trim work, add slip if they want, learn some techniques for adding texture and interest and learn how to pull and attach handles.

Day 4: Students will get the chance to use dipping glazes on their bisqued work (which is why there is a gap in the workshop dates to allow time for drying and bisque firing).
