Throwing Workshop 

3 day course with Rebecca Phillipson

Saturdays 14th March to 4th April – 10.00am – 4.00pm

Cost: £150

Course Outline

Week 1 (14th March):

Morning – learning to wedge clay, centre clay on the wheel and pull cylinders.

Afternoon- learning to pull bowl shapes and practice skills learned in the morning.

Week 2 (21st March): 

Morning – trimming bases

Afternoon – adding handles and other additions (such as feet)

Decorating with slips/underglazes and adding texture such as scrafitto

Week 3 (4th April): 

Morning and afternoon:

Glazing bisqued work

Option for students to continue practising throwing when glazing is finished (with the understanding that additional pieces thrown on this last day will be recycled)
