Pottery Summer School.

8 week evening class:      7-9pm on Friday evenings.

 July 17th, 24th, 31st. August 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th. September 4th.

Cost per student £155 ( includes all materials and firing)

Students will be taught a mix of hand-building and wheel throwing. They will have the chance to make the demonstrated project piece (or practise the demonstrated skill), but are also free to follow their own creative ideas.

 For hand-building I will cover pinch pots and coil pots, slab building and how to join clay. 

For throwing I will cover all the basics – wedging, centring, pulling walls, shaping and refining, trimming, adding handles. 

I will also cover some basic decorating techniques and students will have the chance to glaze their work with the dipping glazes.
