MONDAY 12 AUGUST | NEWSLETTER #24 Hello again, July seems to have passed in a flash at the Arts Hub. The all-new ReUse Saturdays were great fun for us. Chilled, chatty and cheerful. These themed days have given our local creative community the chance to add a few useful - or should I say "essential" - materials to their art supplies cupboard.
Our Autumn programme of workshops is inspired by the bountiful materials available in the ReUse Hub. From Saturday 24th August, you're invited to join Fiona, Isabella and myself to learn something new, discover and play, and celebrate "creativity as the essence of life".
Making time for imagination and learning some new in great company is so good for everyone. Spaces are available in all sessions right now, so please book today.
The Makers' Gallery at the Arts Hub looked especially enticing in the bright sunshine last week. Ceramics are selling particularly well this summer. We're loving the new bowls by Westmill Ceramics. Vibrant blues and earthy browns. From £18 to £32.
Puffins always catch the eye and bring a smile. They have such a special place in our hearts here in East Lothian. We love them. Helen Wyllie's colourful graphics, inspired by our coastline, just get better and better. Mugs. Coasters. Teatowels. Cards. We have few to share with you, all at great prices.
There will be more gallery news and some cute gift ideas - all made in East Lothian - next time.
