Dates: 19th-20th November 10am-4pm
This two-day course considers how artists from the renaissance to the present day have used the golden ratio to bring structure, depth, and harmony to their figurative work.
Through a carefully graded series of life-studies across a variety of media, awareness of proportion, composition and harmony will be developed.
Open to all
Bring a range of materials to the class e.g. A1 and A2 paper, card, watercolour paper, pencils, charcoal, (willow and compressed), charcoal pencil, eraser, drawing ink, pen and nib, brushes, white paint (water based, acrylic, gouache, even matt emulsion), watercolor and acrylic paints, and a palette, oil paints and Zest It solvent, Conté crayon (sepia), putty rubber.
Don’t worry if you do not have all these materials; just bring what you have. This list will allow for a wide range of possibilities and lots of fun. Also dress so you will not worry about potentially getting a little messy. Suggest that you bring a packed lunch.
